-14.
That's what the minivan display said as I dropped off the kids and
went to school. You know you're from Minnesota when zero feels “warm.”
In
one month we'll be plenty warm inside the conference area of Mystic
Lake. Not only have we made some improvements but they have as well.
Come check out both! Highlights for 2008 include: great featured
speakers, two days of vendors, usable presentations, a professional
gift bag, birthday party, amazing food, and, of course, the 2 nd
Annual gala. Come celebrate, learn, and grow.
Gala:
Pearson-Prentice Hall is again our
lead sponsor. We'll load three charter buses (you may drive if you
like, parking is on the street) at 4:30 and head to the James J.
Hill House. You'll enjoy great food and beverage (included) while
you roam the mansion, see the gas lamps burning, and have all your
questions answered by knowledgeable hosts. Who knows, someone from
the capital might just walk down after a busy day.
Free
clickers: We invite you to our annual
meeting-on-a-stick, Friday . Yes, this is a meeting, but you
can sit back, eat, and see where the board is heading. We are a
fun working board and we'll keep it short! We continue to work on
defining membership, creating satellite mini-conferences, developing
a College Student Association, and we'll elect a few people as well.
Our board is strong, excited to be working together, and looking
to grow the organization. Stop in, we need your input…and e-Instruction
will give away a classroom set of clickers ($3250 value).
Remember
to attend your local caucus. If you don't participate, do you have
the right to complain?
I
hope you enjoyed the Super Bowl, participate in Super Tuesday, and
have a Super Start to March by joining us at the conference. Click
above on Spring Conference to get registered and all your questions
answered. I look forward to seeing a packed house.
Your
humble servant.
